Spaces

Let a room breathe.

A few considered choices can change the way a room feels.

Let a room breathe.

A room does not need to be full to feel complete. Start with how you move, where the daylight lands and the small rituals you want to make room for. The objects can follow.

Begin with the pause

Before adding anything, live with a little less for a few days. Move a chair toward a window. Leave the end of a table clear. Notice where a useful surface or a softer light would make an ordinary moment easier.

Give each piece room

A strong silhouette becomes clearer when it has breathing space. Leave a comfortable route through the room and enough distance between pieces to use them naturally. Measure the footprint with paper or tape before deciding.

Let materials do the talking

Wood grain, a textured textile and a quiet stone surface can add depth without adding visual noise. Choose a small family of tones, then let the differences in texture bring the room to life.
